Born in 1967 in Dalian, China and later graduated from Central Academy of Craft Art (now Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University). Sun is now a member of China Arts and Crafts Association. Sun’s works differ from the decorative wooden crafts and she more often directly outlines the shape of her creative subjects in order to express her inner emotions to them. The works "Clothes” series are seen to be the immediate reflections to the artist. She exquisitely carved the softness and the pleat she saw on the clothe and to create a visual impact to the viewers.
