Born in Jiangsu in 1921, graduated from the Chongqing University in 1945, came to Taiwan in 1948. Meet the Taiwanese Artist Chen Te-wang at 1956 and learn the painting from him. Once teaches at the Fu-Hsin Trade and Arts School, National Taiwan University of Arts, Chung Yuan Christian University and Chinese Culture University. He contributed to the art education for half century, and established the "Ilu Studio."
