Liang Xi-ping, also known as Liang Xi-zi, graduated from Department of Fine Arts of Hebei Normal University in 1966; she now lives and works in Beijing. Liang is famous for her portrait paintings which combine profound and serene aesthetics, and which show classical atmosphere in a modern way. In 1998, her work won second prize of Asian Art Award for Asian Young Artists, Korea. During 2002 and 2004, she held three solo exhibitions in Malaysia and Singapore. In 2003, Liang participated in Beijing Art Expo; in 2004, she participated in Art China, and in 2005 in Shanghai Art Fair.
