Was a jinshi (successful candidate in the imperial examinations) in the 55th year of Emperor Qianlong’s reign. Renowned as a prominent poet of his time, his poetry is described as deep and ethereal, with a distinctive originality, earning him a place as a key figure of the Xingling School. His calligraphy resembled Mi Fu, while his painting was akin to Xu Wei. He authored Chuanshan Shicao.
