LUO JIA-LUN 羅家倫
Taiwanese 1897-1969

Born in Jinxian of Jiangxi, aka Zhixi. He took up many privotal roles since an early age, as one of the leaders of the May Fourth Movement in 1919. He studied in the US, London, Berlin and Paris, specializing in history, philosophy and public relations. He was the president of the National Tsinghua University and the National Central University. He was the supervisor of Xinjiang for the Control Yuan, a representative of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural OrganizationUnited Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, an ambassador in India, and the Head of ambassadors in India. After his relocation in Taiwan in 1950, he took up advisory role for the Presidential Office of the Republic of China and led the Kuomintang archive committee, the Taipei Chinese Centre, PEN International and Academia Historia Office.
