Kuo I Ting was born in Taitung, Taiwan in 1998 and graduated from the Sculpture Department of the National Taiwan University of Art. The artist excels in utilizing classical painting styles and symbolism to explore the connection between her own existence and the environment, much like how wood constantly changes and contracts with external temperature and humidity. In her artistic tapestry, Kuo masterfully intertwines symbols and meanings, leading viewers on an exploration of emotional pathways. With a captivating touch, she humanizes natural elements, unveiling the emotions and narratives concealed within. Her art captures the essence of introspection and contemplation, inviting us to decipher the stories beneath the surface. Kuo has participated in numerous domestic art fairs, the Taiwan International Wood Sculpture Competition, and the international Shoebox Sculpture Exhibition. Notably, her creative ingenuity earned her a Merit Award at the 2020 Zong Tai Corporation's Creative Sculpture Competition, marking a testament to her undeniable talent. The resonance of Kuo's work extends far and wide, as her pieces find a cherished home within the collection of the esteemed Sanyi Wood Sculpture Museum and the illustrious Lihpao Cultural Arts Foundation.
