Wang Zhen, courtesy name Yiting, also known as Bailongshanren and the owner of Meihuaguan, was born in Qingpu, Shanghai. He was a painter and comprador during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China period. Wang Zhen was one of the leading figures of the Hai-Shang painting school, combining the characteristics of Ren Bonian and Wu Changshuo in his art, establishing his own unique style.
