Chinese scholar and diplomat, renowned for his calligraphy, was born in Jiangxi and later moved to Beijing during his youth, where he was raised under the guardianship of his uncle. From a young age, he excelled in poetry and painting. He served as a professor in the Department of Foreign Languages at Peking University and Tsinghua University, as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, as Ambassador to the United States, and as a Senior Advisor to the Presidential Office. He was praised for being a "genius in literature and a prodigy in diplomacy.
