B.F.A., Sculpture Department of Tama Art University, Faculty of Art and Design, Tokyo, Japan
His art works are made of one piece of camphor tree's wood with the technique called "Ichiboku-zukuri" (to make sculpture on one same piece of wood), the colors are added in the second time. The series "Silent Neighbor”, which he has started in 2006, is based on anthropomorphized creatures that got the body of a child and the head of a domestic animal, with lonely and sorrowful eyes. These figures create an inimitable presence, making the viewer feels a sense of peace and of calm but in a slightly warp and imbalance atmosphere.
The artist has said: "It can be possible, that the reason of the variant forms of my works, is that I would like to answer affirmatively through my projecting as a producer myself. Onto vagueness of the existence, I want to make a form which is certain."
