Pichaya Khunnawat was born in Bangkok, Thailand in 1980. In 2002, he got a Bachelor of Arts (Visual Arts) from The School of Fine and Applied Arts, Bangkok University, Bangkok. Then in 2007, He got a Master of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) from The Painting Department, Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University, Bangkok. In 2009, when 100 Tonson Gallery became the first Thai gallery to participate in Art Basel in Switzerland, Pichaya Khunnawat was one of the participating artists.
He conveyed in both representational and abstract approaches, challenged critical thinking about the society, for example, the extortion and complexity in people’s mind in dealing with the issue of money. Pichaya Khunnawat has held solo exhibitions such as ""Raw/Rare"" (100 Tonson Gallery, 2007), ""Happiness"" (100 Tonson Gallery, 2009), and ""Off-crossed"" (CASE Space Revolution, Bangkok, 2018); and has participated in the ""New/Old Savages"" group exhibition held by Bangkok University Gallery in 2019.
