Born in Kerala, India in 1968 and raised there, Santhosh received his B.F.A. from Kalabhavana, Shantiniketan, West Bengal, and his MFA from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Baroda in 1997; in the same year, he received National Scholarship and the INLAKS Scholarship.
