Masahide KOBAYASHI 小林雅英

Masahide Kobayashi graduated from Aichi Prefectural University of Art in 1978. In the same year, she hosted her first solo exhibition in Nagoya. She has received Japan’s National Painting Association Nojima Award and Central National Painting Association’s Newcomer Award. In 1991, she also received the 27th Shouwa Exhibition Excellence Award. Between 1995 and 2009, Kobayashi has co-hosted exhibitions with famous anime studios in Japan and hosted numerous solo exhibitions. Her style is influenced by the French fauvism and Nabis. Kobayashi’s works mostly revolve around the relaxing countryside landscape and female characters with an elegant and harmonious style.
