+ OVERVIEW
"State of Being (Mirror)" is woven through strings to express an emotion, longing and care. Black strings intertwined into an infinite space like the night sky or the universe. When she was a child, her neighbor'shouse was caught with fire, and the image of the burnt piano was very shocking to the artist. The poetic atmosphere outlined by thousands of threads, the mirror is suspended on tens of millions of strings, and the memories shared by the artist touch the viewer's heart like a flowing tide. Chiharu Shiota makes good use of daily objects in her memory to describe her life and emotions through her works, and also depicts the connections between people. A magnificent landscape is woven through thin strings. Red, black or white threads are intertwined and overwhelmingly run through the entire space. Thousands of threads outline a poetic atmosphere. Daily household items are suspended on tens of millions thin strings, the memory shared by the artist flows like a tide, touching the viewers deep in the heart.
